Micro-kysts on your face? How to avoid them

Here's how to prevent the formation of micro-cysts on your face

Your skin is granular and you see small bumps under your skin on your face? Don't worry, it's probably micro-cysts. We explain everything about these benign but unsightly imperfections.

Micro-cysts are caused by keratin lamellae that clog the hair follicle where sebum flows. This leads to the formation of small raised closed comedones on the skin. These micro-cysts can appear on any skin type (oily, dry, combination) and can have various causes such as stress, diet, or hormones.

Although we may be tempted to touch them, it is absolutely necessary to avoid doing so as it may further aggravate them and cause inflammation (such as micro-cystic acne). Most of the time, these micro-cysts naturally resolve themselves, but there are tips to make them disappear and prevent their formation.

1. Regulate sebum production

In order to prevent the formation of these micro-cysts, it is important to avoid anything that could contribute to clogging the hair follicle. That's why it is essential to thoroughly cleanse your face at the end of the day with a gentle cleanser to remove excess sebum and daily impurities.

2. Maintain your skin

If your skin is easily prone to micro-cysts, it is beneficial to add an exfoliating scrub and a facial mask to your routine once a week to eliminate dead cells and purify your skin.

3. Be careful not to strip your skin!

Do not use products that are too harsh or drying to prevent this excess sebum. Even when avoiding micro-cysts, your skin still needs a good dose of daily hydration, whether it's in terms of drinking an adequate amount of water each day (1.5 liters recommended daily) or moisturizing your skin with a face cream.

So, are you ready to say goodbye to these little bumps?
