SOS stretch marks

How to prevent and diminish the appearance of stretch marks?

Infamous stretch marks, those little white lines that appear on the skin. We have all been through that, and although it is a completely natural phenomenon, sometimes we would like to be able to diminish them due to their unsightly appearance. Here we give you our advice on how to prevent them but also how to diminish them.

Stretch marks are long, streak-like lines that appear as a result of sudden stretching of the skin. They are most commonly found on the thighs, hips, buttocks, and breasts and can occur most often during puberty, pregnancy, or general weight fluctuations. Their appearance also depends on the elasticity of your skin, and they will be more or less noticeable.

So why do we see stretch marks in different colors?
The color of stretch marks depends on their stage. When they first appear, they are usually a bit pinkish, and then they will whiten over time with healing. Therefore, it is more beneficial to act on stretch marks when they are still slightly pinkish in order to improve healing and make them as less visible as possible.

For prevention:
If you anticipate a significant weight fluctuation, such as during pregnancy, it is possible to prevent stretch marks from forming as much as possible. It is important to hydrate the skin in areas prone to stretch marks (hips, belly, breasts) with a cream or oil such as our SENSITIVE serum, its composition without essential oils makes it an ideal care for pregnant women to hydrate and soothe the skin.

If you already see stretch marks appearing on your body, don't panic, it is still possible to diminish them during the healing process. Once again, hydration is key! Use a moisturizing cream or oil such as the BODY oil and massage the area to ensure proper product penetration 1 to 2 times a day, being consistent for 1 or 2 months to promote discreet healing. Argan and Avocado oils are ideal for their nourishing and healing properties.
